We’ve added many graduate websites under Master Gunsmithing Program > Careers. On that page scroll down to #2 PA Gunsmith School® Graduate Websites. Prospective students, review the list of services on many sites to get an idea of the skill sets offered in the real world that students learn at PGS; many sites list prices, too.

Under Admissions > Veterans Benefits, see our proud designation for the 2022-23 school year as a Gold Ranking Military Friendly® School by the Military Friendly® Company. This means PGS is recognized as a post-secondary institution committed to serving the veteran community in a meaningful and comprehensive manner.

Many PGS graduate shops are veteran owned. We’ve seen an increase in graduate entrepreneurs in recent years, aided by free advertising available through Social Media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok).

Our Director of Instruction Jamey Wojtasek addresses the value of Social Media in both Business Practice (a Semester 4 course: see Master Gunsmithing Program > Program Schedule) and by helping brand new students in Semester 1 Introduction to Gunsmithing (also under Program Schedule) set up an Instagram account strictly for chronicling their projects at PGS, a powerful self-marketing tool in gaining employment.

His many years of experience in the firearms industry, including General Manager of a Pittsburgh-based firearms retail chain with six locations, assures riveting, informative and reality-based lectures. On our Home page you likely saw PGS was recognized by our accrediting commission (ACCSC) as a School of Distinction for the 2022-23 school year, the school year in which our five-year accreditation was renewed. And we’re absolutely committed to continuing to delivering quality education outcomes to current and future students.

With our 75th Anniversary right around the corner in 2024, future blogs will celebrate our past and share info on the exciting future of Pennsylvania Gunsmith School.
